Agrinos Delivers Keynote Address at Crops & Chemicals USA Conference
DAVIS, Calif. (July 13, 2017)—Ry Wagner, Agrinos CEO and Terry Stone, Agrinos vice president of regulatory and sustainability, are among the featured speakers selected to address Crops and Chemicals USA Conference attendees. The conference takes place from July 24 – 26 in Raleigh, North Carolina, and brings industry experts together to discuss the latest biological and chemical advances within agricultural products. The conference will also focus on product formulations, commercialization strategies and regulations.
Wagner will deliver the keynote address titled “Coming Full Circle – ‘New’ Biology and the Future of Agriculture.” He will discuss the importance of the interrelationships between plants, soil and microorganisms. His remarks will further explore the diverse technological innovations occurring at universities, start-ups and long-established agriculture corporations.
“Consumers and retailers are driving the need for sustainable solutions in agriculture,” Wagner said. “Becoming more sustainable means better understanding the environment and the ways in which everything is interconnected. Funding research and innovation will help us move forward towards a more sustainable future in agriculture.”
Wagner will also moderate the keynote panel: “Mover and Shakers: The Impact of Mergers and Acquisitions across the Industry.” The panel will discuss how the industry is changing, whether mergers and acquisitions improve or hinder innovation, their impact on product costs and how industry change is affecting growers.
Wagner will be joined at the conference by Stone, who will present “The Role of Biostimulants in Agricultural Sustainability.” He will focus on improving soil health, natural resource utilization and crop productivity—the cornerstones of sustainable agriculture.
Stone plays a key role at Agrinos and leads the development of Agrinos’ sustainability programs, partnering with customers, NGOs and other industry organizations to demonstrate and quantify the value of Agrinos products as an important part of public and private sustainability programs. He brings more than 30 years of experience in plant biotechnology, regulatory affairs and sustainable agriculture to his position with Agrinos.
